An individual applying for membership in the ASPS is requested to choose one from the following types of membership.
- Regular Membership: Regular Membership in the ASPS is available for 2 years ($150) or 4 years ($280) and includes the right to submit an abstract and register for our biennial conference, a subscription to the Journal of Persianate Studies, a subscription to our newsletter, invitation to talks and events hosted by the Association, the right to participate in Association elections, the right to attend business meetings, and regular announcements via our mailing list.
- Lifetime Membership: Lifetime Membership in the ASPS is available for $1,500 and receives the same rights and benefits as a Regular Membership.
- Student Membership: The ASPS offers Student Membership upon request at a 50% discount for members currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program. It is available for 2 years ($75) and includes the same rights and benefits as a Regular Membership.
- Free Membership: The ASPS offers Free Membership upon request for scholars (graduate students and above) based in and earning their income in soft-currency countries who cannot pay the fees for the above-mentioned memberships due to financial reasons, currency restrictions or economic sanctions. All applications will be subject to review. Free Membership includes the same rights and benefits as the Regular Membership except a subscription to the Journal of Persianate Studies. Free Membership is available for two years and may be renewed.
- Institutional Memberships include one JPS hardcover subscription, five conference registrations, mention in the conference program as an institutional member, and a discounted one-page ad in the conference program. They are available for two years ($500) or four years ($900).
